We first flagged this at the start of the month, and it hasn't let up. One outlet doing the digging (Highsnobiety, citing wholesale data from JOOR) found a 12-fold jump in bag charm accessories in 2025 alone, with 2026 already outpacing it. Search interest spiked in February, right around when photos of Kylie Jenner's Birkin dripping in $10,000 of diamond charms made the rounds.
What strikes us is the timing against everything else we've been tracking — quiet luxury has had a long run, and this feels like its opposite instinct surfacing: the same bag, but now allowed to be loud, personal, a little unserious. A fringe charm or a tiny bag-shaped charm does the work a whole new handbag used to do.
We're not surprised it's peaking rather than just rising. It's an easy, low-commitment way into the mood. The ones we keep circling back to are below.
